Our favorite album of 2024!

Jorga Mesfin is a standout figure in the Addis Ababa jazz scene, founder of the band Wudasse and a protege of the legendary Mulatu Astatke. As a saxophonist and composer, Jorga has been honing his craft for years, and with this debut album, he’s truly charting a new direction for the future of Ethiopian jazz. A self-taught musician, his influences blend the innovation and soul of jazz with the rich, ancient sounds of Ethiopian music.
