Born from a friendship between Emahoy Tsege Mariam Gebru and pianist and composer Maya Dunietz, after years of artistic exchange, Emahoy entrusted Dunietz with the future of her music, including her wish to hear it move beyond solo piano.

Recorded live in Paris with piano and strings as part of two tribute concerts, this recording captures the magic of her music and the emotion of the moment. We wish we’d been there.
